Words That Stick!

I’ve always been a bit of a quote collector. Some are short and punchy, others take a few lines to unfold, but they all have one thing in common: they make me pause and think.

During my workout today, three quotes from Peloton instructors really stood out to me. Each one reflects the trainer’s personality and the mindset they bring to their classes.

Ben Alldis said, “You didn’t come this far to only get this far.”

To me, that’s a reminder to keep going when things feel hard or repetitive. It’s about acknowledging the effort it took to get where you are and realizing that you’re capable of more.

Jess Sims shared, “You don’t have to — you get to.”

This one always shifts my perspective. It turns obligation into gratitude. Whether it’s movement, work, or simply showing up, it reminds me that what feels like a chore is often a privilege.

And Leanne Hainsby said, “You don’t have to have it all figured out, but don’t give up. Slow if you need to, but don’t give up.”

This one hits home. It’s a gentle reminder that progress doesn’t have to be perfect or fast. You can pause, regroup, and still move forward.

Each of these quotes carries a little truth we can use both on and off the bike. And that’s what I love about collecting them. Sometimes a few words can say exactly what we need to hear.

What about you?

Do you have a favorite quote that always seems to find you at the right time?

Or if you had a signature quote, what would it be?

I’d love to hear it.
