Buckle Up: 31 Days of Imperfect Blogging

Ever commit to something and then immediately wonder what on earth you were thinking? That’s me right now.

I signed up for the Ultimate Blog Challenge, which means I’ll be publishing a blog every single day in October. Yep, 31 blogs in 31 days. Why? Because I’ve decided that imperfect action is better than no action. I’ve spent so much time in the past letting my coaching business blogs turn into research projects. I’ll dive deep, take notes, and then publish inconsistently because it takes so long to get one post “just right.”

This time, I’m choosing consistency over perfection. My main goal is to show up each day, write what’s on my mind, and hit publish. Even if it’s a little messy. Even if it’s not my “best” work. Because maybe - the magic happens when we allow ourselves to be seen in the process, not just in the final draft.

Of course, I didn’t make this easy on myself. Between running my coaching business, managing my ADHD brain, and traveling across continents for three weeks of the month, this will be quite the challenge. Picture me trying to keep my thoughts straight in an airport lounge while running on espresso and zero sleep. But that’s life, right? The perfect conditions to start something rarely exist.

And honestly, I like that this challenge mirrors real life. We’re never in the “perfect” season to start exercising, eat healthier, or make changes that matter. We always have family schedules, work projects, travel, or curveballs that get in the way. If we wait for perfect, we stay stuck.

So here I am, choosing to write anyway. My hope is that along the way, you’ll not only get to know me better, but also pick up something helpful, laugh at a travel story or two, and maybe be inspired to take your own imperfect action.

For me, this challenge is about proving to myself that I can follow through, even when things get messy. It’s about creating momentum instead of chasing perfection. And if I can do this while juggling ADHD tangents, client calls, and suitcase living, I can remind myself (and you) that consistency is possible, even when life is far from organized.

So let’s do this together. What’s one area in your life where you’ve been waiting for “perfect” conditions to start? What would it look like to just begin today, imperfectly?

Here’s to showing up, one imperfect blog at a time.
