31 Days, 31 Blogs: What I Learned From Saying Yes to the Challenge
I always knew about the Ultimate Blog Challenge but honestly, I never thought I could write a blog every single day. It sounded intimidating and almost impossible. But I did it.
This month was far from ideal for committing to something new. I was traveling, juggling work, and managing all the usual life things, but I wanted to prove to myself that I could follow through. And I did.
As someone with ADHD, consistency doesn’t always come naturally, but I’ve learned that when I commit and make it simple, I can stick with it. I blocked one hour a day, made it non-negotiable, and told my family it mattered to me. Just like my decision not to drink alcohol, it was black and white with no grey zones and no debate.
What surprised me most wasn’t just finishing all 31 blogs, but how much I enjoyed reading the different blogs that others shared. They covered so many topics and gave me a glimpse into so many different areas of interest.
I hope my posts gave readers a small window into who I am and offered a few gentle nudges or bits of food for thought along the way.
Today, I’m taking a little time to think about what my next “thing” will be. Something I can do consistently that supports my clients, my community, and my business. I don’t know what it is yet, but I’ll figure it out.
If I could go back to the Claudia from 31 days ago, I’d tell her this: you do best with clear lines. You’re either in or you’re out. Block it on your calendar, make it visible, and set it up in a way that works with your brain, not against it. Because when you do, you can truly do anything.
Maybe it’s time for you to choose your next small, consistent “thing” too. What could you commit to for the next 30 days?
